The most enduring client relationships are built on trust. When a client returns to you after more than 25 years, it speaks to more than successful projects, it reflects a shared belief in the value of design.
SDI Design was honoured to once again partner with Crowe Soberman LLP to create its new Toronto headquarters, reimagining the workplace as a strategic business asset that supports the firm's continued growth, evolving culture, and future vision.
Guided by SDI's Adaptive Planning Methodology, the workplace challenges the conventions of the traditional professional services office. Rather than organizing space around hierarchy and assigned offices, the design was conceived as an interconnected ecosystem of destinations that support collaboration, focused work, client engagement, and employee wellbeing while remaining flexible enough to evolve alongside the business.
Hospitality principles shape the experience from arrival to departure. Inspired by boutique hotels, warm materiality, residential furnishings, and thoughtfully scaled meeting environments create an atmosphere of trust, comfort, and professionalism. At the heart of the workplace is Crowe's Nest, a hospitality-inspired café that serves as the firm's social hub, supporting informal collaboration, mentoring, celebrations, and company-wide gatherings.
The result is more than a new corporate office. It is a future-ready workplace that demonstrates how thoughtful planning and human-centred design can strengthen culture, elevate the client experience, and create lasting value through adaptability.
